ABC's of Apparel

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Spring is here and summer is right around the corner bringing warmer and warmer weather. It is important to keep the season in mind when choosing promotional apparel. An article in Promo Marketing laid out great wearable tips for every letter of the alphabet, except X, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite tips here.

Breathability: When the weather is warm it's good for the fabric to be lighter allowing your body to breathe. Some warm weather fabric favorites are jersey and sheer.

Markets: There are hundreds of styles available in wearable items so keep up with the new trends and styles so you can stay fashion forward with your next promotion.

Quality: Quality counts! A person can easily tell the quality of a promotional product simply by the look or feel of it. Make sure you make smart choices so the promotional product given can be worn with pride.

Youth: Don't leave out this market! Students are perfect recipients for warm weather apparel.

Tricks for the Trade (Show)

Tradeshows can bring tough competition and tough decisions about promotional products. Decisions about which items, colors and sizes to use are just a few of the questions you need to ask. In the past, notebooks and totes have proven to be the most popular trade show items to hand out, so how can you make yours stand out?

Lucky for you, I have found your answers.

I recently read an article in Promo Marketing about making the best decisions for your trade show. I found 4 great tips to live by to make your next trade show successful.

  1. Know your goal. There are two options with choosing the color of your items. You can take route 1, instant recognition, by using a bright eye-catching color or you can take route 2, providing a long lasting item, by sticking to more neutral colors.
  2. Size does matter. This rule is just for bags since there are so many options on size. Promo Marketing suggests the perfect size tote is 20x6x16". Also a long strap is recommend because it makes the tote more useful and appealing
  3. Take it off the show floor. Go the extra mile and supply your clients or sales people with a journal or notebook as a welcome gift before they even set foot on the sales floor. The gift will be much appreciated and is bound to stand out more due to the lack of competition.
  4. Client's choice. Although the popular items are notebooks and totes, differentiate yourself by supplying other options to choose from. It could be your notebooks and totes offered in a variety of colors or other great ideas like pens and lanyards.

Dress for Success

Promotional T-ShirtAs you might have read in my previous posts, shirts rank as the number one promotional item in popularity and usefulness. Here are three tips for dressing your brand for success:

  1. Have your item connected with an unforgettable experience--No one wants to wear a t-shirt from a boring event. Engage your recipients with an exciting event relevant to your company or organization. Consider teaming up with a charity or sponsoring a fundraiser.
  2. KISS (Keep It Short and Simple). When creating your t-shirt design remember to stay goal-oriented. Yes, you want a stylish and wearable shirt but more importantly, you want your logo, message and company to be clear and recognizable. Don't over-design your shirt and create clutter. Try using high-contrast colors and aim for a total of no more than three colors. This will make your design more recognizable.
  3. Engage your audience. Depending on your event, providing an activity recipients can participate in could turn your promotional giveaway into their 'keeper' t-shirt.

If you would like other creative ideas to match your next promotion, our team of promotional product experts are prepared to answer any and all of your questions. Give us a call today!

Why? Who? and What?

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Looking to promote at an event, outing or with a giveaway? There are three very important questions that need to be asked; Why? Who? and What? My fellow blogger at ASI had some valuable information I found very interesting and helpful, so I thought I'd share it here:

Why? Why should I consider using promotional products over other mediums?

  • ASI found 84% of people who receive promotional products are able to easily recall the brand on their item.
  • ASI found that 81% of people keep their promotional item because it is useful
  • Promotional products have an average cost-per-impression of $.004, pretty hard to beat considering your other options of TV and radio ads.
  • 62% of promotional item recipients end up doing business with that company
  • Recipients keep their promotional item, on average, around 6 months.

Who? Who is my promotion's audience going to be?

  • This will be a very important determining factor deciding other important decisions such as what promotional item would be best to use.
  • Knowing the audience's demographics will help you optimize your next promotion by allowing you to make smart useful decisions.

What? What promotional products will fit the needs of my audience?

  • Your promotional items should be useful and meet the needs and desires of your audience. This way your audience is pleased and excited to advertise your company or organization.
  • If you're having a hard time thinking of some ideas, keep these top categories in mind:
    1. Shirts
    2. Bags
    3. Caps and headwear
    4. Writing instruments
    5. Other wearables

So for your next promotion consider these facts and remember, never stop asking the important questions, Why? Who? and What?

On March 10, 1876 Alexander Graham Bell uttered the famous words, "Mr. Watson come here, I want to see you" over the first telephone. By October of that year, Bell and Watson were able to talk between New York and San Francisco. By 1904, there were more than three million telephones in the U.S. But it was the invention of the hand-held cellular phone, first demonstrated to the public on April 3, 1973, by Motorola's Martin Cooper that revolutionized the way people communicate.

The rest, as they say, is history. Today, there are an estimated 250 million cell phone subscribers in the U.S. alone. The march of technology has transformed the telephone from a luxury item and status symbol to an everyday necessity.

What modern mobile user doesn't crave useful and stylish accessories for his or her phone? Leaderpromos.com can help your company or organization stay in the public eye by creating a cell phone accessory that will not only be useful and trendy, but appreciated as well.
